In 2004, Namco released Tekken 5 for the arcade and PlayStation 2 the next year. On July 2001, Namco released Tekken 4 on arcades. It would be several years before the next one. The game was a massive success, becoming the second best selling fighting game of all time. On March 20th, 1997, Tekken 3 was released on arcades and on PlayStation the following year. On August 3rd, 1995 Tekken 2 launched on arcades first, followed by PlayStation in 1996. It was one of the first fighting games to use 3D animation after Virtua Figther. On December 9th, 1994, Namco released the first Tekken arcade system and on PlayStation the following year. However, unlike other games, Tekken allows your character to move in all areas of the combat zone, rather than just moving forward and backwards. The gameplay mostly consists in one-on-one matches.
